MICHAEL LAU - IN THE GARDEN

This video project was a deep exploration of Michael Lau’s latest series of paintings, titled “In the Garden”. Inspired by his inner child, the symbolisms of flowers serves as a reminder that optimism is a mental state.

The video took the form of a mini-documentary, offering viewers a brief history of Michael’s artistic journey and the diverse set of inspirations that culminated in the creation of the “In the Garden” series.

We adopted a candid approach, capturing Michael in his natural studio environment. Throughout the video, the imagery of flowers was recurrent. Immersing viewers in the “Garden” Michael has thoughtfully crafted.

Michael drew significant inspirations from works of
Van Gogh and Leonardo Da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’

blending these classical influences with
contemporary elements.
