Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and his son embarked on a journey to open a gallery in Hong Kong, featuring the works of their personal friend and renowned artist, Zao Wou-Ki.

Dominique provided insightful commentary on the universal appeal of Zao Wou-Ki’s work, highlighting the unique blend of French impressionist influences with Chinese watercolour aesthetics and imagery.

The goal of the mini-documentary was to educate the public about the noteworthy artist and the personal friendship he shared with Dominique.

We used slow sweeping motions to capture the ambience of the gallery, mixed in with close-up details of the numerous works featured.
